Experimenting with Final Cut’s Magnetic masking tool (Ai Rotoscoping) in combination with traditional green screen. Why both? Green screen still provides the tried and true, click-and-be-done instant key result while the new magnetic mask provides an innovative time-and-stress-free approach to creating & tracking garbage mattes for elements that extend off the keying stage.
There’s still a discrepency between how the two tools provision for edge management, but early results are promising for moving in a desirable direction.
