Hiring contractors for a recent project last year revealed to me just how useful an oscillating multi-tool can be. Moment after moment, I observed professionals reaching for their multi-tool, equipping it with the correct blade, and then getting down to work. Seeing this first hand, illuminated for me where my tool collection should begin (as someone with zero handyman experience – I was admittedly lost and anxious about making a mistake when it came to investing in a toolkit).

I began collecting further research. Here are the two videos I found to be most helpful in my quest to make a well-informed oscillating multi-tool decision.

Key Walking-Points

  • Choose an 18v cordless device.
  • Blade life can be extended via file sharpening.
