Society’s Shape

We should all care about the underdog because at anytime and with little effort – the underdog could be you and I.

It takes only one foul wind to bring about a fall from the comforts of grace.

Society at its best is a safeguard against bad times.

This is the true role of society; society’s only true function – to enact cooperative safe guards that protect and provision for the fall that could inflict any one of our lives at any time and for any reason.

To not care for the least among us is to not care for ourselves, because you’ll care when you stumble. You’ll care when you fall. You’ll care when no one cares for you because you’re “No longer someone worth caring about.”

Why not change things for your future self by changing things for someone else today?

There’s no reason beyond reasons of selfish motivations (which exist within all of us, even our most noble.)

Each of us will grow old and yet we continually place our elderly in the hands of pick-pockets. We turn a blind eye and a cold heart because the Old remind us that we too will become old. Why not make life for our future selves brighter, warmer, and full of love?

There’s no reason beyond selfish reasons.

To care little about the least free among us is a prescient danger – the snare which closes shut on our neighbors works to ensnare us as well.

To not care for the sick is a madness – for we’ve all been sick in our lives and we will all become sick again. The question is – will our unexpected infirmity bring about our utter demise and fall from grace as it does everyday for so many among us? Or will we endeavor to reshape society to more comfortably fit our humanity.
