I just discovered (beat) myself. I like it and I’m comfortable recommending it to anyone and everyone.

Here are the selling points that make (beat) appealing for me:

  1. (beat) is software that gets out of the writer’s way. It auto formats to screenwriting conventions without requiring thought.
  2. (beat) is open source software and runs locally on your own device (no cloud strings attached).
  3. (beat) uses the Fountain file format (it’s a screenwriting thing) ensuring all written files will be compatible with many popular software titles throughout the future.
  4. Did I mention (beat) simply gets out of the way? It’s really amazing. (Beat) offers up simple, frictionless writing (and I’m here for it!)
