When Weather Keeps Others At Home…

Yesterday marks the second week of my participation in a local weekly writer’s group which I discovered on meetup.com.

The night before last also marked the arrival of a regional snowstorm and the blanketing of two inches of snow over the geographical area in which I live.

In my part of the woods, it does not take much for individuals to cancel all plans and to stay nestled within their homes. I am seasoned enough in the ways of the local mindset to steady myself against any disappointment or displeasure in discovering that I am the only soul to step outside and ‘brave the elements’ in support of consistency, dedication, and discipline to creative endeavor.

The ‘Me of yesteryear’ would have fallen into judgment on the shortcomings of others and the lack of creative community and infrastructure in my part of the world. I am happy to report, if only to myself, that the ‘Me of today’ gives no waste of energy to judgment, but rather to contentment and pride in my own accomplishments this day.

A is fuel for and for charging among likeminded , but , , & time are truer companions.
