Last Thursday I enjoyed attending a presentation on Babylon.js provided by Brian Turner, organizer of Gem City Tech Game Developer’s Group.
Gem City Tech’s Game Dev Group explores design, art, and programming centering around gaming and the gaming industry.
Babylon.js is an open-source JavaScript library and 3D engine designed to create and render real-time 3D graphics in web browsers using HTML5 and WebGL. Initially released in 2013, it was developed by Microsoft engineers David Catuhe and David Rousset. It is a widely used tool for building interactive 3D applications, games, and virtual/augmented reality experiences for deployment in the browser (source).
I met genuinely kind and welcoming individuals by choosing to attend Brian’s presentation for Gem City Tech Game Developers, and I intend to attend more of the group’s events throughout 2025.
