Today, I’m streamlining my story development workflow with the adoption of an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories using Twine.

With great speeed, I’m able to iteratively playtest and debug branching story logic on the fly and in realtime using my browser. The output then takes the form of a JSON script document using Twison (a free twine plugin) which is fully compatible with Dialogue System 2 for Unity Virtual Production / VR / Demo & game development.

I’m very excited by the promise on offer with this new found expediency and sense of iterative play – two characteristics which support and encourage creativity.
